The leak, which resulted in the evacuation of up to 50,000 residents over the weekend, occurred at the GKN Aerospace facility in Garden Grove, California.
### Contractual Ties and Financials
The GKN Aerospace plant, which has received over $13 million in subcontracts from Lockheed Martin since 2017, experienced a rupture of a 7,000-gallon chemical tank last week. This incident has intensified scrutiny regarding the facility’s operations. Analysis by the Palestinian Youth Movement, corroborated by The Intercept, reveals that GKN Aerospace Transparency Inc., its subsidiary, generated more than $255 million from Lockheed Martin contracts.
