24 DAILY NEWS – Over the weekend, the U.S. and Israel launched airstrikes on two universities in Iran: the Isfahan University of Technology and the Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran. These recent attacks are part of a broader pattern of assaults on civilian infrastructure during the ongoing military conflict led by President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which has previously targeted hospitals, desalination facilities, power plants, and schools.
The U.S. and Israel asserted that the attacks on the universities were justified due to alleged connections to Iran’s weapons programs. However, Iranian authorities responded by declaring that American university facilities in the region would be considered legitimate targets if the U.S. did not condemn these strikes.
In a statement, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a warning to all employees, professors, and students at American universities in the vicinity to remain at least one kilometer away from potential targets. Notably, Iranian students and educators received no warning before these attacks, which caused significant damage to university
