These recent attacks are part of a broader pattern of assaults on civilian infrastructure during the ongoing military conflict led by President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which has previously targeted hospitals, desalination facilities, power plants, and schools.
The U.S. and Israel asserted that the attacks on the universities were justified due to alleged connections to Iran’s weapons programs.
