24 DAILY NEWS – Colorado law enforcement officials have issued a warning to their peers nationwide regarding social media posts from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) promoting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Internal records obtained by The Intercept revealed concerns that these posts exhibit numerous white supremacist themes that could pose a danger to the public.
### Concerns from the Colorado Information Analysis Center
In a bulletin dated March, the Colorado Information Analysis Center emphasized that “violent extremists” could interpret “White Supremacy Ideology in ICE Recruitment Materials, Leading to a Potentially Increased Threat Environment.” The bulletin, which serves as a warning to law enforcement across the United States, suggested that these posts might foster a “permissive environment to engage in vigilante action and/or violence against individuals perceived to be immigrants.”
