24 DAILY NEWS – The Trump administration is grappling with a ceasefire with Iran that appears to exist only in name.
On Monday, President Donald Trump warned that Iran would be “blown off the face of the earth” if it attacked U.S. vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz, part of his ambiguous “Project Freedom.”
### Growing Tensions
The following day, General Dan Caine, Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, reported that Iran had executed multiple aggressive actions since the ceasefire was declared. “Iran has fired at commercial vessels nine times and seized two container ships. They’ve attacked U.S. forces more than 10 times,” he informed reporters, acknowledging that these strikes, while numerous, have remained “below the threshold of restarting major combat operations at this point.”
